Stage Prostate Cancer (The American Urologic Staging System):



Stage A:
Lump / tumor can not be palpated on physical examination, usually discovered by accident after prostate surgery because of other diseases. The tumor was so small can only be detected by viewing under a microscope.

Stage B:
Tumors can be palpated but is still limited to the prostate and usually found on physical examination or PSA test.

Stage C:
The tumor has spread beyond the prostate capsule, but not yet spread to the lymph nodes.

Stage D:
D1: Cancer has spread to the lymph nodes adjacent to
D2: Cancer has spread far (metastasize) to other body parts such as bones, liver and lungs.
