PROSTATE CANCER DIAGNOSIS USING FUZZY EXPERT SYSTEM

Fuzzy Expert System (FES) is an expert system with fuzzy inference, uatu computing systems software that works on the basis of fuzzy reasoning. FES has been widely used to solve various problems in the medical field. One of them is to diagnose prostate cancer. The purpose of this paper is to review the theoretical journal of the Sa rity et al. on Fuzzy Expert System for the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
This system uses Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), age, and the Prostate, volume (PV) as input parameters and Prostate Cancer Risk (PCR) as its output. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that the FES can be used to solve the problem of diagnosis of prostate cancer. Results calculated using the FES gives results in accordance with the prediction of physician experts. Furthermore, the FES for the diagnosis of prostate cancer can provide a percentage of a person exposed to the risk of prostate cancer, so it can help doctors to decide whether or not to act for a patient biopsy.
