Recent tests for identification of severity of Prostate Cancer

Recently developed a test to determine the rate of prostate cancer severity.

During this time, to diagnose prostate cancer, used marker of prostate tumor-specific antigen (PSA). Long test is quite accurate, just not able to distinguish between prostate cancer is slow and a fast deteriorating. Slow growth of prostate cancer can be left alone without any action. While the rapid growth may require surgery or radiation therapy.

Latest test called Prostate Health Index, although still based on the detection of PSA, but detects three types of PSA. All three are pro-PSA, free PSA and total PSA. In addition to Prostate Health Index, as well as DNA examination of prostate biopsy results. Combined the two examinations was 70% accurate detection rate of prostate cancer severity.
