Scientists from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States have discovered that naturally active antibody can hunt down prostate cancer cells in mice and is expected to be able to kill cancer cells similar to humans when it is developed further.
Study results released in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science (PNAS) mentions the name of F77 antibody that binds cells to be more nimble and a cancerous prostate tissue.
When injected in mice, F77 binding in prostate cancer tissue is still a place of early cancer in almost all cases the experiment. Antibodies that recognize even androgen independent cancer cells, which do not exist when prostate cancer can be treated.
"F77 to initiate the death of prostate cancer directly and effectively prevent tumor growth. However, F77 does not target normal tissue or tumor tissue in other parts of the body including the intestines, kidneys, uterus, pancreas, lungs, skin or bladder. " Thus one of the important essence of the scientific report.
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men and grabbed nearly half million people every year worldwide
